This year for the first time it is the year, and not the varieties, that tells the tale! On 9th April 2016, in the Bock Restaurant, we hold a Gourmet supper + wine tasting of our 2012 selected varieties.
These are the wines and the vineyards that will unfold the story of 2012:
- Hárslevelű, from Göntér,
- Syrah, from Bocor,
- Villányi Franc, from Fekete-hegy,
- Cabernet Sauvignon, from Jammertál and
- Merlot (the Magnifico), from the Ördögárok estate.
What to know about 2012:
It was a year with extemes of cold and hot. The winter freeze was long, and followed by a long, dry spring and summer. The extra heat brought with it early budding and an early harvest. The year produced wines of outstanding quality with a high alcohol content.

Crispy leg of duck with breast, with milk-loaf pudding and apricot sauce

Jammertál stuffed loin of beef with turnip and chocolate cappuccino sauce

Dessert:
Ördögárok yoghurt jelly with vanilla and pipe tobacco sorbet
